Bee-ing with nature

We have really enjoyed being outdoors lately! Any chance to run in the sprinklers, play in the dirt, or grill and eat outside seems too much to pass up. I can't remember the last time we ate dinner inside. It has been wonderful!

Whenever the garage is open it is safe to say Faith can be found in the bike trailer. Ethan found his first 4 leaf clover in our neighborhood the other day. Now we can't go anywhere without him stopping to look for one! Between that and picking up nearly every pebble he sees, family walks and bike rides take about double the time.

Grilling season cuts my work in half! I love a husband that grills!

So hard to go inside after nights like these.

When people hear that Faith will be the only girl in the family they say, "Well, she'll just be a princess, won't she?" This statement makes me cringe! I know the intention is good but I always hope she'll shy away from acting like one as much as possible. Ethan encouraged me with the concern that there was dirt in her snot the other day.

The kids love to dig in the lot next to us and it has kept them busy for days. Unfortunately it is now off limits as it is under construction. That's not to say the boys don't still sneak over there to climb the dirt mounds and pack lots of dirt back home to me via the insides of their shoes.

The boys got lucky and were invited to "help" Keith McKee from our ward with his bees a few weeks ago. They had such a neat time and were full of things to teach me when they got home.

  1. I can't believe how much your boys look like Chris. It reminded me of all the pictures we have when we were with our cousins -- when we were little. It's so adorable. You have such a beautiful family.
